A place to wash without waiting for a restroom.
Separate handwashing stations help guests and crews wash with soap and water while toilets remain available. They are particularly useful near outdoor dining, a construction work area, or an Antioch community gathering where existing sinks are too far away.
Soap and water are their own part of the plan.
A sanitizer dispenser inside a portable toilet is not the same as a handwashing sink. Describe whether the site involves food preparation, public food service, or construction work so you can confirm the relevant washing facilities and any temperature requirements.
What the quote should specify
- Station model, basin count, dimensions, and fresh-water capacity.
- Soap and paper-towel supplies at delivery and during the rental.
- Fresh-water refills and wastewater removal responsibility.
- Placement, accessibility, and the agreed service frequency.
Put handwashing where it will be used.
Place the station close to the restroom exit without narrowing the accessible route. Avoid setting it where runoff or muddy footing would create a problem. For a multi-day event, schedule refills around opening hours and the busiest periods.
Combine the right equipment.
A pair of portable toilets and a separate sink can keep handwashing available while the restrooms are occupied. The right quantity depends on guest count, duration, and refill needs. For construction, include the applicable California washing requirements in the site plan.
